Leadership

We support you and your team in identifying and transforming barriers to success.

Throughout the years, we have identified that internal perceptional obstacles tend to be especially detrimental to individuals and organizations. External obstacles are indeed problematic to any entrepreneurial or business endeavor as well; nevertheless, external obstacles tend to be quantifiable and therefore more viable to be addressed. Inner obstacles on the other hand, tend to be perceptional and difficult to transform given the elusive nature of the human mind.

Our methodologies are based on proven approaches anchored in solid methods of inquiry and facilitation such as The Work of Byron Katie and Philosophical Counselling.

Overall, we can address any detrimental situation in any kind of organization arising from individual or group perceptional limitations. Our objective is to identify and transform inner obstacles into clear opportunities, with a clear course of action, and with clear expected results.

Dr. Pedro Cortina, managing partner at the Innerland Institute, presents his team's experience with The Work. How can The Work be used in core areas such as sales and marketing, operations, finance, distribution, production, strategic planning, and innovation?

Pedro and his team realized that if they trusted the questions 100% and followed the simple directions, they could achieve extraordinary results. This realization allowed them to move forward confidently. See what they discovered!

"We were at the executive meetings all week this week and there were a number of people raving about “The Work”. I think the company is very excited about our progress. Thanks! "  ~ Jeff

Inquiry for Business Program (I4BP)

In an age of intense business model disruption, our ability to consistently, reliably, and radically reframe our perceptional, organizational, and business assumptions is crucial to success.

It is clear that the ability to reframe what is possible in our fields of work has taken organizations from fledging startups to new giants in their fields. In many other cases, larger and lethargic companies have also been able to redefine themselves in ways that were deeply unexpected with impressive results. (E.g.: Coursera, edX, Upwork, Tencent, Target, Apple, IBM, Palantir, Uber, AirBnB, Amazon Mechanical, TaskRabbit, DesignCrowd, GoFundMe, etc.)

In I4BP, our ultimate objective is to move situations that are perceived to be individual, organizational, or business limitations from Obstacle Inventories into Living Opportunity Inventories through positively disruptive, radical and powerful models of inquiry that result in a defined and clear course of action. We develop, manage, and facilitate transformation both at an organizational level (collective perceptional limitations) as well as a personal level (role-specific perceptional limitations).

How do we do this?  We achieve this in a unique and powerful way. We do not follow the traditional approach of "layering up" enthusiasm, expert theory, organizational discourse, personality tools, or other add-on’s that may produce a transient and limited “champagne effect”. Rather, we support and achieve living opportunities for our clients by facilitating and supporting highly efficient and grounded self-inquiry and group-inquiry processes that allow for the elimination of perceptional obstacles that get in the way of clarity, focus, and understanding.

With this model, positive disruption and transformation actually originate and are sustained from within the individuals, allowing for a deeply genuine form of ownership and self-investment. This model generates a true experience of relevance and direction for each of the team members and collectively becomes a tremendous force for empowerment and positive change within the organization.

These are the steps we go through when we engage with an organization:

  1. Identify needs.
  2. Identify teams or participants for the program.
  3. Induction into of the I4BP model and methods.
  4. Identifying and building individual or group Obstacle Inventories.
  5. Training in self-inquiry and group-inquiry methodologies.
  6. Moving from Obstacle Inventories into Living Opportunities: A guided process of transformation.
  7. Achieving self-sustainability.
  8. Evaluation and redesign.
  9. Continued support.

Self-Inquiry and group-inquiry facilitation methods are based on a self-referencing, structured and sequential process of questioning, analyzing and transforming perceptional limitations into opportunities so that obstacles that may certainly appear unquestionably and undeniably solid at any given time, become manageable and understood from several different perspectives; perspectives that allow for creativity, vision and wisdom to manifest, rather than tension, defensiveness and distress. In this way initial obstacles are transformed into clear, tangible and measurable opportunities for success.
